A strategic mandate accelerating Northern Europe’s transition to sustainable power. CAM Group served as Lead Arranger, structuring complex non-recourse financing to deliver landmark renewable infrastructure.
The Nordic Green Energy Corridor is a multi-jurisdictional infrastructure mandate designed to move Northern Europe from thermal generation to long-duration renewable supply. CAM Group acted as Lead Arranger, assembling non-recourse project finance, a multi-tranche green bond, and a public-private partnership that locked in tariff visibility across a 15-year concession.
The transaction required close coordination among grid operators, sovereign sponsors, and ESG-dedicated institutional capital. Construction and offtake risk were isolated from sponsor balance sheets, then the remaining exposure was syndicated to investors seeking contracted, inflation-linked infrastructure cash flows.
The corridor now delivers clean power at institutional scale, with measurable carbon avoided, regional employment, and no sovereign guarantee attached to the debt. It remains a reference structure for subsequent Nordic and Baltic energy-transition mandates.
Navigating complex regulatory environments and massive capital requirements demanded an innovative structuring approach.
Structured sophisticated project finance isolating risk, securing favorable terms without leveraging sponsors’ balance sheets.
Pioneered a multi-tranche green bond framework, attracting dedicated ESG institutional capital at tightened spreads.
Aligned sovereign interests with private execution capabilities, establishing a robust Public-Private Partnership model guaranteeing long-term tariff stability.
Beyond financial returns, the Nordic Green Energy Corridor delivers measurable environmental and regional economic value.
